摘要	Gazella羚羊不仅是“三趾马动物群”中常见的分子，而且在中国晚中新世至更新世地层中广泛分布。本文研究的Gazella cf. G. lydekkeri化石发现于陕西蓝田31地点，灞河组中部，时代为晚中新世中期，是迄今在我国发现最早的Gazella。材料包括5个近乎完整的头骨、下颌以及颅后骨骼。形态对比与测量表明，Gazella cf. G. lydekkeri与巴基斯坦Siwalik发现的G. lydekkeri有着相似性，但其脑颅长度大于宽度，角心外侧平整等特征不同于任何先前发现于我国晚中新世的Gazella，而且与我国发现的上新世与更新世的Gazella也没有系统发育关系，其可能由于晚中新世剧烈的气候及生态环境的改变而灭绝。从肢骨的形态分析与测量比例数据来看，Gazella cf. G. lydekkeri是适合奔跑运动的，所指示的开阔生境与灞河期动物群生态类型，灞河组沉积学研究所指示的相对干旱、半干旱的草原环境相一致。Gazella cf. G. lydekkeri目前可以作为我国晚中新世中期地层的指示分子。
其他摘要	The genus Gazella is the common element in the Chinese Hipparion faunas, distributing from the Late Miocene to the Pleistocene. The fossils Gazella cf. G. lydekkeri described in this paper are the earliest Gazella record in China, found from Loc. 31, Lantian County, Shaanxi Province, the middle part of Bahe Formation. The materials studied are nearly complete skulls, mandibles and postcranial bones. Morphological comparion and measurement show it is similar to the G. lydekkeri from Siwalik, Pakistan. But its relatively long braincase and flatten outside of the horn cores are different from any Chinese Late Miocene Gazella specices found before. Furthermore, it has no polygenetic relationship with the Chinese Pliocene and Pleistocene Gazella species. It was extinct probably due to the drastic weather and ecological changes in the Late Miocene. The cursorial characters of the limb bone indicate it is adapted to the open plains, which are corresponding to the ecological pattern of Bahean Fauna and the result of sedimentology study. Gazella cf. G. lydekkeri is an indicator of Chinese middle Late Miocene in the current study.
